Thank you to all of the sweet kids who bought popcorn in this morning's Gourmet Popcorn day.

You bought 6 boxes of popcorn for you and your friends (West Haven Hawks are awesome friends), we are getting closer to meeting the fundraising goal for next years activities - yippee!👍


We will be starting our "second round" fundraiser next week.  This will be your chance to earn some extra time at field day.  NO LINES for you!!


We still have about 150 boxes of popcorn left to sell but WE CAN DO IT!!!!

Popcorn is $2 a bag and there are 30 in a box it comes in 3 flavors, carmel, cheddar and kettle (for a laugh try saying that 3 times fast when selling it).

Sell one box* of popcorn = 15 min extra time outside

Sell two boxes* of popcorn = 15 min extra time outside plus you get to bring a friend along to enjoy the fun!

Sell three or more* boxes of popcorn = 15 min extra time outside with a friend - plus you are invited to an ice cream party!

*For round 2 – you must have sold the popcorn AFTER the original fundraiser with the Pokemon prizes

There will be a permission slip at the bottom of the flyer, you will need to have a guardian sign agreeing to be responsible to return money for the popcorn sold OR unopened bags of popcorn if you can't sell it all.  

Turn the money / popcorn in  ON OR BEFORE MAY 11th - make sure you put your name on your popcorn money envelope.

Soaring Hawks Fun Run

West Haven Elementary families!

Today our Soaring Hawks Fun Run kicked off with an exciting Pep Rally! Register your student on funrun.com, using our school’s registration code 574-482 or by searching for our school name.  Our goal is to raise $10,000 for playground equipment and we need your help! Your student is coming home with a Pledge Crown today, where you can learn more about helping our school through the Fun Run. Enter all pledges at FUNRUN.COM, and your student will be rewarded the very next day. Plus, your student will receive a FREE prize just for being registered on funrun.com! We appreciate your support!

The Great Check Writing Campaign

Dear West Haven Elementary Family,

Thank you for the positive response to West Haven Elementary PTA's alternative fundraiser this year,

The Great Check Writing Campaign!  We really feel it is a better use of your time and money.

We still need your help. In order to avoid the traditional, door-to-door selling type fundraiser we need to replace those funds with straight donations.  By donating to The Great Check Writing Campaign, 100% of your money stays at West Haven Elementaryto benefit our students, teachers, and school.  Most Fundraisers only give 40-50% of the income back to the school. 

Please send your donations, cash or check, to school by this Friday, November 6, 2015.  Of Course, the PTA is happy to accept your contributions any time of the year, but to help us determine if another fundraiser is going to be necessary this school year, we would like to have the donations by Friday.  Please help us avoid another fundraiser! With only $15 per student, we can continue to support the beneficial programs our students have come to love.  We understand not everyone is able to donate at this time and we greatly appreciate those who have already donated. (Students who contribute $15 or more will receive a Super Hero or Super Villain Duck as a token of our appreciation.)

Please know that we already love and appreciate all that our parents do.  The fundraiser is a great opportunity to help us provide for things like parties for our classes and field day at the end of the school year.  We know that not every family can participate in fundraising opportunities.  If you would like to write a check for a certain amount, please make it out to West Haven PTA and have your child take it to the office.
